DwmT Champagne Reception 2016

Dear friends!

As you already know at Dance with me Toronto we have traditions, better say we create them. In 2015  the Client Appreciation Day we held in mid January became an instant success. So we decided to make this exciting event annual.

In 2016 we hosted Champagne Reception on Saturday, January 30th.

Lots of beautiful glamorous people gathered to celebrate another successful year of dancing, to have toasts, to dance &  socialize; to perform, entertain, enjoy the show & support fellow students doing presentations… We are people, that love to dance & we know how to have fun!

We are very proud of all our numerous performers, you were all amazing & very enthusiastic! We would like to thank all our volunteers who helped organize this lovely event! Thanks everybody for coming!

We strongly believe that good people attract good people & dancing is not just inspiring, but contagious!  That is the best definition of our Dance With Me Toronto community!!!

We believe as well that dancing, especially couple dancing and social dancing – Ballroom, Latin, Salsa, Argentine Tango – is the best therapy & cure of all troubles & problems! If you missed that party, make sure that you attend our next event in late spring!!!

We have a lot of wonderful pictures! For more go to www.facebook.com/DanceWithMeToronto .

Dance with me Toronto – Anniversary Party

Dear friends!

First of all I would like to thank everybody who made it to the party – and a lot of you came to celebrate our 1st major milestone! And those who could not come – you were genuinely missed! We gathered September 13th (the actual date is September 1st) to raise a glass to our studio & a year that was full of events & fun dancing!

It was exciting to see all of you – people who love to dance! And I feel honored to have you as clients of Dance with me Toronto!

Some of you are very accomplished dancers with years of experience & some are new to the world of dance. And yet together we did a great job planning & delivering a fantastic performance, which became a center piece of our event. We recorded a 15 minute track which was playing non-stop smoothly transitioning from one genre of dance to another – 10 styles in total – from Pasodoble to Waltz & Argentine Tango to Salsa. We had 20 students involved actively in preparation. They were performing in the spot light with another 30 something doing a great job cheering & dancing their part around the solo performers… we finally have the Videos to share with you – see below: 1st is the Video of the Party, then the Video of the Show described above, the 3rd Video is us dancing Twist. That was fun!!!

Presentations, dancing, entertainment, toasts, good wine & food…. & most importantly great friends who are getting closer & closer with each event, class, outing, that at this point  it feels more like family!

I would like to wish Dance with me Toronto many more fun & successful years in business & all of you years of happy dancing!

Egor Belashov

PS I would like to share with you 2 letters I received from my students. I really appreciate you reaching out! Continue reading

Dance with me Toronto in Collages – Part 1

As you know at Dance with me Toronto we create lots of activities for our members – they do not just take private lessons or group classes, but are invited on a regular basis to attend dinner & dance places, go to see ballroom & Latin dance shows, go out to salsa clubs, Argentine tango parties called milongas, participate in showcases or competitions. We organize dance parties of our own as well.

And we love to document everything taking video and pictures to create long lasting memories! Collages is one more thing we love & thanks to our long term client & supporter Tatiana Shekhter we have a pleasure to share them with you today – we can say it is Tatiana’s 1st exhibition! 🙂

This is just the 1st part – more to come! Enjoy!

Salsa night at Lula Lounge

There is a lovely place in Toronto called  Lula Lounge and Dance with me Toronto went there last Saturday to have fun & dance some Merengue & Salsa!!! http://www.lula.ca

They started with a Intro Salsa Lesson at 9:00 pm – showed a couple of basics, it was very energetic & entertaining.

At 10:30 a Live Band started playing!!! It was really good!

In general the atmosphere was great! And the club was packed! Lots of people who dance salsa all their life, as well as those who are just learning. Lots of different styles and free styles on the floor… We really enjoyed it! So we strongly recommend this place!!! Continue reading

Workshop for Couples

At the end of April we had a pleasure organizing & conducting one of a kind Workshop for our Couples. It was not intended as group Couple Therapy, but it turned out to be an interesting experience for both parties 😉

The intention was to share valuable information acquire through the years of teaching & dancing, practical tips and show & try some exercises; to present a full overview of the topic, not just bits and pieces students hear from teachers during the lessons. The  goal was to make dancing together, practicing together, working on dance moves together more efficient and enjoyable.

Some topics we covered:
– what is together?
– who is the boss?
– what is a couple on a dance floor?
– just a follower or a companion?
