Have a look at wonderful video clip – 1962-1968 World Ballroom Champions Bill and Bobby Irvine perform an exhibition Foxtrot.
Note how the style has changed within the past let’s say 40-50 years. In those days people could do it part time, for pleasure still perusing their doctor’s, lawyer’s, architect’s careers – practicing 2-3 evenings a week and still get to the top and win prestigious competitions…
Now it is out of the question – to have a chance to become a champion the child should start dancing at the age of 4-5 and practice from morning till night 5-6 days a week. Different times, different standards, lots of competition!!!
Enjoy it!
